Best Interview Preparation Tips

Pack and Dress Accordingly –

  • Plan the perfect outfit.
  • Make sure you get your suite cleaned, pressed and tailored.
  • Don’t forget about the little things: Shine your shoes, check for loose hems, and make sure your fingernails look manicured.
  • Do a little pampering, because looking your best helps you feel your best.
  • Print out five copies of your resumes.
  • Prepare a reference list, whether you think you’ll be asked for it or not.

Before an Interview –

  • Do some serious company research.
  • Make connections between your experience and what this company needs.
  • Practice answering typical interview questions out loud.
  • For video job interviews, practice ahead of time.
  • Psych yourself up to date confidence.
  • Put on a happy face.
  • Make sure you know where you’re going.

Most common interview question –

  • Can you tell me a little about yourself?
  • What are your greatest professional strengths?
  • What do you consider to be your weaknesses?
  • What is your greatest professional achievement?
  • Tell me about a challenge or conflict you’ve faced at work, and how you dealt with it.
  • What type of work environment do you prefer?
  • How would your boss and co-workers describe you?
  • How do you deal with pressure or stressful situations?
  • Where do you see yourself in five years?
  • Why are you leaving your current job?
